Skincare Products For When You’re Having a Breakout
Complex Beauty Baby Face Purity Mask: An activated charcoal face mask I always turn to when I’m having a breakout (especially when it’s bad and painful). I leave it on for a couple hours because it’s not drying, has a thin consistency, and really helps flatten and calm down pimples.
Glossier Zit Stick: For spot treating pimples. It has benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and tea tree oil that all help reduce the blemish and kill the germs that caused it while the silver rollerball applicator prevents bacteria from spreading upon application.
Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid: When my skin needs some clearing and smoothing, I use this liquid a few times a week. It’s gentle, lightly hydrating, and the 2% salicylic acid helps clear out pores and exfoliate without irritating.
Sunday Riley UFO Oil: A treatment oil with 1.5% salicylic acid. It’s not the best smelling thanks to the black cumin seed oil (that helps decongest), but consistent use has always helped my acne calm down and clear out.
