I recently did a “5 liquid lipsticks for fall” post, and as we delve deeper into fall I wanted to talk about 5 blushes for fall that I always reach for during this season.
This is a beautiful plum/mauve shade on my skintone with a slight golden shimmer running through it. The shimmer just adds a nice radiance to the skin and isn’t chunky or glittery.
This was my first “fall appropriate” blush ever, and continues to be a favorite. It’s a plum toned blush with a matte finish, but it doesn’t look or apply chalky or powdery. This blush is very soft, pigmented, but not to the point where it looks too intense, unless you build it up. It even sheers out nicely if you want just a slight wash.
The formula of ColourPop blushes is amazing. This shade in Between The Sheets is a beautiful matte mid-tone beige pink shade that has a cream to powder formula. I like to apply these with either a Real Techniques Stippling Brush or my plain old fingers. I will say that the formula of these does dry out over time–even though I kept my little pot closed nice and tight– so applying it with the fingers warms up the product so it applies and blends better.
Although this is a recent purchase, this blush is very beautiful. It may not look too exciting in the pan, but it is a beautiful shade. If you want something neutral like a nude-pink-peach blush, this one would be great for you. It does have some golden shimmer, but it just adds a nice radiance to the skin and isn’t super chunky or super noticeable. Supposedly this is a shade that Kylie Jenner wears frequently.
The blush/lip cream in this little duo is a beautiful autumn appropriate berry-toned blush. It’s pigmented, creamy and can be applied so it’s sheer or build it up. I personally prefer to apply this with my fingers because I think it blends in much better and warms up the product.
