“So, you have your cousins, and then you have your first cousins, and then you have your second cousins…” is basically what it sounds like when you’re explaining why you have an array of red lipsticks. But you can’t just pick one. Because first you have your blue based reds, then you have your pinkier reds, and then you have your more orangey reds, and the list goes on and on until you come to the realization that they may seem similar, but they’re different. So, there you have it, I justified buying all of these.
For a shinier glossier red lip… YSL #4 Rouge In Danger: Super creamy, super comfortable, and sheer, but still buildable.
For a lived in matte stain looking lip… Glossier Zip: Sheer, yet buildable, and gives the lips a natural matte pouty stain.
For a matte red lip with a hint of berry… Jouer Fraise Bon Bon: A comfortable liquid lip that leaves behind a berry raid stain. Something I personally love, but depends on if you’re into that.
For a true matte red lip… MAC Feel So Grand: Super opaque, super creamy, and very matte, making it long lasting while giving you Hollywood feels.
For a quick and easy scarlet red… NARS Cruella: Comes in a crayon form, making it very easy to apply, and gives your lips a long lasting velvety finish.
