Kopari beauty Coconut Rose Toner and Coconut Lip Love review
Kopari beauty Coconut Rose Toner and Coconut Lip Love

Growing up, I was constantly told to use coconut oil.

“Put it on your skin. It’ll help your scarring”

“Put it in your hair. It’ll make your hair thicker.”

“It’s such a good moisturizer.” my mother would screech at me whenever she saw the dry patches on my arms and hands from lack of moisturizing. But, because #teenagerebellion, I didn’t listen.

Well, guess what? Mother knows best. At least in this case. Coconut oil is actually a really good beautifying ingredient to use.

Coconut Oil Based Beauty | 2 From Kopari Beauty

I’m still not someone who likes to use pure coconut oil on my face as a moisturizer because it can feel a bit heavy and greasy. And it sometimes causes me to break out. Not in a my-skin-is-purging way, but a what-have-I-done breakout freakout way. But, I’m happy to report that the Kopari Coconut Rose Tonerdoesn’t make my skin break out. And it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy either. It’s supposed to tighten pores, keep redness at bay, and refresh and soothe the skin. I thankfully don’t suffer from large pores so I can’t attest to that claim. But, I can say that I love it as a refresher, light hydrator, and it does soothe my skin. I actually spritzed this on my skin after I threaded my stache (painful!!) to see if it would burn or irritate my skin (the things you do for product testing, eh?). And, it didn’t sting at all! It actually helped calm and soothe the freshly threaded stache pain I was experiencing, and reduced the redness. I know this will be one toner I will be purchasing once I run out.

If you read my post talking all about my favorite non-petroleum jelly based lip balms, then you know I despise that ingredient. The Kopari Coconut Lip Love* is technically a coconut lip gloss, but luckily it doesn’t contain any petroleum jelly derivatives, which is why it has been a new favorite of mine. I love this one more during the day when I want something moisturizing and glossy, but not sticky and thick. It leaves the lips looking glossy all while hydrating them because of the coconut oil, Vitamin E, and shea butter. This one now lives in my work bag so I highly recommend you try this out if you’re on the lookout for something glossy and moisturizing at the same time.

  • I can’t use Coconut Oil on my face either, but this little toner sounds really good! That being said, the Coconut Lip Love doesn’t sound bad either, I actually don’t own a lip balm with a glossy finish and I can see why it is great for the daytime!

  • Never tried these. Loved your review you have a great blog :)

  • I have never used coconut oil before, I’m shocked that I haven’t. This brand sounds so interesting and it seems like it’s great, I’ll definitely give the lip product a try.

  • I am not familia with this brand at all so thank you for the introduction, Nida. I can’t use coconut oil on my face as moisturizer, it clogs up my pores and causes major breakouts so I feel you girl.

  • I just saw this brand on Instagram for the first time, and now this review! I’m definitely intrigued. The toner spray sounds fantastic, I love to have something available for when my face is extra sensitive.

That coconut rose toner sounds lovely. I haven’t heard of this brand before it sounds so interesting.

  • I’ve seen Sonjdradeluxe wax lyrical about Kopari a fair few times.

I used to love coconut oil on my hair and in masks until someone insisted it was drying and I’ve felt weirdly about using it since. Which is utterly ridiculous!

The toner sounds great, and I’m a sucker for hydrating toners!

  • I love using coconut oil on everything- except my face (it breaks me out too!) BUT I do love using it as a body moisturizer, to make body scrubs or in my hair. I love threading but I’m too much of a pussy to thread my stache lol Every time I’d go to do my brows my brow girl always yelled out “you want your mustache done too?!” Like damn lady lol. These two products sound awesome!

Maybe it’s because I have dry skin but coconut oil doesn’t really break me out (which is why I love using it!) but I’m trying to get through my actual moisturizers before hopping back on the coconut oil train. The toner sounds really nice though, and I’ll be needing something after I finish my Mario Badescu rosewater spritz!
