When it comes to looking fresh and awake, my favorite way is to add an inner corner highlight to the eyes. It makes your eyes pop and look so bright and awake and these are my go to shades, which are perfect for medium skin.

Adding a foil finish eyeshadow is my favorite during a night out when I want to look a bit more glitzy and glam, and the two I veer towards have a pink tone to them: In The Spotlight by Makeup Geek and the Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eyeshadow in Kitten. Sticking with the slightly pink tones is MAC’s Kitschmas, a frosty pink/mauve pigment. This is just gorgeous when you spritz a little Fix+ on your brush because it makes the pigment look so foiled and metallic and bright. I really love using a slightly pink toned shade because it makes the eyes look very bright.

For something more on the golden side, I love Kiko’s Water Eyeshadow in 208, a warm gold, and MAC’s Nylon, a pale gold with a frosty finish. When I’m feeling like I want to use a cream product, I reach for Kiko’s Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in 07 Golden Beige, which also leaves your eyes gleaming and looking bright (I forgot to take a picture of it -_-).

I really need to remember to do this more, as it looks so stunning on others. Nylon looks gorgeous :)

    • Nylon is the perfect pale light gold and looks stunning on every skin tone! I never used to highlight my inner corner, but ever since I started to a few years ago, I haven’t stopped!

  • The Kiko eyeshadow is super pretty! I prefer a lighter inner corner highlight so more on the champagne side since my skin is in between a light and medium :)

    • I realized as I wrote this post that I don’t have that many champagne eyeshadows and need to pick some up haha

  • These are all so pretty!

  • Wow, those are some beautiful shades. I don’t own any of these expect I have the Stila Eyeshadow in Kitten which I love but not the Magnificent Metals Foil version. I have always heard great things about MAC Nylon but always forget to pick it up. I should add to wish list. Great post! x

    • I haven’t tried the regular Stila Kitten, but want to try that for sure! Nylon will not disappoint :)

  • The Stila shadows are fab! If I’m going for all out glitter (and let’s face it, who doesn’t love that once in a while?!) it’s Illamasqua Beguile or Static for a pinky tone. For day to day, I use MAC Blanc Type for a matte option, or Makeup Geek’s Shimma Shimma for a wee sparkle!

    • I haven’t tried any Illamasqua products :(. They carried them in Sephora, but don’t anymore so I missed out. I’m so sad, but if I ever get my hands on the brand, I’ll definitely check those shades out. Thank you! I also need to get MUG Shimma Shimma!

  • Kitsch looks sooo pretty, I love a good inner corner highlight. Makeup Geek’s blacklight is my favorite right now.

  • Yesss inner corner highlights are just beautiful! I love the MUG shade, the intense pigmentation is stunning too! I’ve not tried any of the Stila foil finished shadows, but I have tried their regular palette and kitten is just on a whole different level – I actually had to depot it when I got rid of the rest of the palette, too beautiful to lose haha

  • Ah I so need the Stila Kitten Metal eyeshadow – what a gorgeous shade! xx
