Oh Hourglass, is it wrong to love you so much because if it is, I don’t want to be right.
The Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick Review
Spoiler alert: guys, Hourglass has done it again. They’ve created another product I’m so in love with, and can’t get enough of.
I haven’t purchased any new foundation in a while because I’m trying to finish up my current foundations, but I just couldn’t pass this one up! The new Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick is a true thing of beauty.
The packaging is, as always, stunning, and unique because of its triangular shape, which would be great for contouring and highlighting!
The formula of this in one word: UH-MAZING. It’s smooth and creamy– like spreading butter on warm bread– and blends beautifully with both a brush and beauty blender. You’d think this would have a matte finish, but it looks really natural, and leaves your skin looking glowy and fresh.
The coverage of this is really nice as well. I’d say it’s a good medium coverage if you apply a thin layer, but by adding just a smidge more you can make it full coverage sans cakiness. It is marketed as a foundation and concealer in one, which I definitely agree with. So if you’re looking for something full coverage, but don’t want something that feels heavy or looks like a mask, try this!
The longevity of this is supposed to be 12 hours. I wore it for 6 hours and it still looked really good and flawless! I have combo skin and it didn’t accentuate any dryness, and it didn’t make me look greasy either.
- blends like butter
- huge shade range
- beautiful packaging
- not cakey
- natural finish
- full coverage
- dries to a powder finish.
- expensive (but not over the top)
- no added skincare benefits (slight womp)
The verdict is that I may have found my holy grail foundation! I love that this is so easy to swipe on and blend because it makes getting ready in a rush a breeze. This is on the pricier side, but it’s worth it since you don’t need much product and it’s really good quality. The only critique I would have with this is that I do wish they added some skincare benefits. I’m all about the skin right now, and wish they added some ingredients in there like they did with their Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint, but that’s just a minor little quibble I have.
p.s. I was matched to the shade Warm Ivory and I’m about an NC35.
