Another year older, and hopefully smarter… but that’s debatable.

The Birthday Wishlist

Sunday Riley UFO

[Available at Sephora, Space NK, Barneys]
On my last wishlist I talked about the Luna sleeping oil. Fast forward a few months and I’m crushing on another Sunday Riley oil. I gave this a whiff in stores, and boy that smell is not pleasant. But, black cumin seed is one of the first ingredients, and that’s really good for blemish prone skin so of course I want to try this out. BTW, I thought the upside to getting older was that you no longer get blemishes…. Anyway, they offer this in a half ounce bottle for $40, which isn’t too hefty considering you don’t need much product. Hopefully it’s out of this world. Come on, I had to ;).

Chanel Coco Noir

[Available at Sephora, Nordstrom, Dilliard’s, Boots, John Lewis]
The last thing I need is another fragrance, but fancy bottles, and the fact that I’m falling in love with scents that aren’t just floral or sweet, has me itching to try out more.

Byredo Rose of No Man’s Land

[Available at Barneys, Net-a-porter, Neiman Marcus, Harrods]
The Byredo obsession is real. Ever since I tried Gypsy Water, I’m  constantly going to the Byredo website and clicking through all of their fragrances. I know $150 for a small bottle of perfume is absolutely nuts, but they don’t call it an obsession because you’re thinking rationally. Not only do I love rose scents, but I love the name. So very fitting if you’re a nasty woman.

Byredo Mojave Ghost

[Available at Barneys, Net-a-porter, Neiman Marcus, Harrods]
Perhaps I want this because it has the word “ghost” in the title, and I have a long standing love affair with all things ghostly ever since I was introduced to Casper the friendly ghost. Yes, I’m about to be 25. Yes, I just referenced a 90s tween movie. But, the description sounds pretty inviting too.

Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm

[Available at Nordstrom, Selfridges, Revolve, Barneys, Net-a-porter]
Two weird things happened this winter. One, I discovered that my left hand is severely drier than my right hand, and two, I have fallen in love with hand creams. Your hands show signs of aging pretty quickly if you’re not careful so this is a welcome infatuation.

Drunk Elephant B-Hydra

[Available at Sephora, Dermstore]
My skin loves gel consistencies, and I’ve been wanting to try Drunk Elephant for a hot minute. This is marketed as an intensive hydration gel and you can apply it alone or mix it in with your other oils, serums and creams. The ingredient list is pretty impressive, and I’m so glad this doesn’t have added fragrance.

Are you shocked?…

…not one makeup product on my wishlist. I’m certainly shocked. I’ve always liked skincare, and made sure to remove my makeup, tone, use an eye cream and moisturize for several years now. But, I’ve never been this in love with trying out new skincare products and paying more attention to ingredients. There are definitely several makeup bits I want to try like the new Burberry and Marc Jacobs liquid lipsticks. But, I know I can do without them, and want to finish up several makeup products before I start buying more. My skincare cabinet is overflowing, but hey, it’s an obsession, remember.

  • Ah so many of these brands I want to try. Aesop is top of my list!

    The Makeup Directory

  • Skin care is so important! I’ve been digging for a really good serum that does my skin wonders but I haven’t quite found one! Maybe these products will be of help. Thanks for sharing

    • I’ve been loving layering serums and have been switching between The Ordinary and Glossier. I hope you find one you love!

  • Ela

I’m surprised there isn’t any makeup here! But then, maybe it’s a good thing so you don’t overspend on too many products you can’t use up :))
I’ve only recently gotten into skincare, and I’m liking my routine so far!

    • Hehe exactly ;p. Me too! I’m starting to really love trying out new skincare and watching my skin get better.

  • Girl yassss I dig this list so much. And welcome soon to the quarter century club! Drunk Elephant seems to be the IT item of the year so far, it’s popping up everywhere (besides Glossier but we’re both huge fans already LOL). The Byredo fragrances are seriously drool worthy – and Rose of No Man’s Land is probably the first one I’d get cause I’m also obsessed with rose. Guess that makes me a nasty woman 👌🏼😂 I fear your continued Skincare obsession will just lead to my bank accounts getting lighter. Oh well – cheers to great skin and looking young forever!

    • Girl, thanks! I’m forever just going to say I’m 23. I think I can pass for 23 LOL. Are you 25?? I always thought you were like 22! Nasty women with good skin.. is there anything better? ;p

  • Great list! I really want to try Byredo. I love the names and the packaging is so beautiful. I hope all of your birthday wishes will come true!

    Jenn –

    • Thanks Jenn! Byredo seriously is so beautiful :). I love gypsy water so much, but it’s grown my obsession with their perfumes so much that my wallet isn’t too happy lol.

  • Beaut wishlist! Seriously, the packaging on all of these are so eye-pleasing. I really fell in love with hand creams this Winter as well. I took a seasonal retail job and found that my hands would get extremely dry (to the point that they’d turn white, yuck!) so hand cream’s been my best friend this season. Def want to know more about that Aesop one!

    • Thanks! Girl, yes!!! My knuckles were constantly so dry and white and disgusting so definitely need to invest in some more.

  • The Sunday Mode

Lately I’m really into skincare as well, I’ve kind of neglected it for makeup for a while now and my skin is paying for it. So now my skincare wishlist is getting huge!

    Julia // The Sunday Mode

    • I feel you! I used to pay more attention to makeup and my skin suffered the consequences for sure.

  • Being obsessed with skin care is definitely not a problem! I probably don’t want to know how much I’ve spent on skincare the last year but hey, it’s worth it though!

I’ve also always wanted to try Gypsy Water, but I’m still a bit hesitant when It comes to expensive fragrances (especially this one!)

    • Skincare is definitely worth the investment! So much better than spending money on makeup, but I just can’t say no to a glowy highlight lol. I feel you! Even the small sizes of the Byredo perfumes are more expensive than the average large bottles from designer brands so it’s definitely an expensive item (that’s definitely not a necessity).

  • I’m just the same: I’ve always loved skincare but I used to spend more money on makeup than skincare and, over the past year or so, I’ve been doing the exact contrary, I guess it’s better as makeup is really hard to use up! I really want to try some Drunk Elephant skincare, it always sounds right up my street!

    • Totally agree! Skincare is much easier to use up, and it’s great to see how your skin improves when you invest in the right ingredients for your skin.

  • I wish I had made a birthday wish list and left it lying around for my boyfriend to see but it is probably a little late now with my birthday being on Monday! I would definitely have added the Sunday Riley UFO to it which actually isn’t as expensive as I thought. Maybe I will have to get it as a birthday treat to myself haha. Happy birthday to you! :) x

    • Hahah that’s why I made one a week in advance :p. Happy birthday, babe! It’s finally Monday :). I hope you have a lovely one, and that you treat yourself :)

  • Ooh lovely products, I hope you get everything you have your eye on. I have heard mixed reviews on the UFO oil as many have said they prefer the Luna oil. Might be worth asking for a sample and comparing before asking for it. . . either way excited to hear what you think of it! Thanks for sharing and Happy Birthday! Xx

  • Nope, not surprise that there’s no makeup, for some reason I have been noticing that many bloggers are concentrating more on skincare this year. Me included!

    Shireen | Reflection of Sanity

    • I think we’ve finally realized how important skincare really is haha!

  • Love your wishlist Nida, so many wonderful products here! I love a good skincare too and by the way that Coco Noir perfume is simply amazing. I recently bought it and it is such a sophisticated scent.

  • Lisa Autumn

I also have a Byredo perfume on my wishlist.. so dreamy!

    xx Lisa

  • Bernadette

Sunday riley is definitely on my wish list as well as hourglass blushes and the josie maran foundation. Lovely post.

    • I haven’t tried a Josie Maran foundation before. I hope you get everything on your wishlist :)

  • This is a great wish list!

  • I can attest to the UFO! It’s bomb. I also have the Drunk Elephant one but have yet to even break it open. Great wish list! Hope you get a few for your birthday. ;)

  • The Chanel Coco Noir is on my list too :)
