Because I generally stick to nude lip shades on the daily..
The Go To Nude Lipsticks + Gloss
Crayon shaped lipsticks are so easy and non fussy that it’s no surprise NARS Bahama, a velvet matte brownish nude, lives at the bottom of my purse. It’s effortless, and the perfect everyday, comfortable matte lip shade.
I did a whole post on my go to nude liquid lipsticks a while back, but these shades are the ones I’m constantly reaching for, and my top 3 in the nude liquid lip category since they’re comfortable and not drying. I’ve fallen back in love with Kat Von D Bow n Arrow, described as a fawn nude, after neglecting it for a couple months. Jouer Noisette is my go to when I want a brownier nude on the lips, and Dose of Colors Truffle is the one when I want a softer nude with a velvety matte finish. Seriously my favorite liquid lipstick formula!
Two long time loves of mine are MAC Velvet Teddy, a matte rosey beige, and MAC Honeylove, a matte peachier beige. They’re both staples for when I want a nude lip and don’t really want to think about what I’m going to put on my lips.
For when I want a glossy, juicy pout, I’ve been turning to Lorac Duchess, a rosy nude. The Lorac glosses are some of my all time faves because they’re pigmented, but not overly pigmented, super smooth, and super glossy. Another is the Sephora Collection Ultra Shine Lip Gel 35 Earth & Fire. It’s a rosy brown nude with a high shine finish, and it’s pigmented, but still sheer. The only thing I don’t like about it is the smell, but that dissipates after a while.
