You may know by now that I’m infatuated with lipsticks, but I am also infatuated with nail polishes, which means I am continuously buying more. During the holiday season I like to go out and purchase a new nail polish to add to my collection, and this holiday season I wanted something a little different than the usual oxblood shade. This year, I picked up an Essie polish called Stylenomics. This particular shade was a part of Essie’s 2012 Fall collection, but I just recently came across this shade at Target and fell in love. The impulsive shopper in me snagged this, tossed it into my car and kept on rolling, and I’m extremely happy I decided to purchase it because I’m loving this color for the upcoming holiday season
Stylenomics is a dark green, almost black, nail polish shade that has a– you guessed it– creme finish. I know, I know, you’re probably irritated with me and my obsession for creme nail varnishes. I know it’s a bit much, but I just can’t help it. Anyway, this glides onto the nail nicely, and it isn’t patchy or dry like some nail polishes. It is very opaque after one application, but if you want an even deeper color I would apply at least two coats of this. As much as I love Essie nail polishes, their formula isn’t always that great. Sometimes my polish will begin chipping after a couple days, but this one lasted on my nails for about a week before it began peeling or chipping, which is quite impressive!
If you enjoy dark nails, but don’t want to wear the usual blood red or black nail polish this season, you should definitely take a gander at Stylenomics. I immediately fell in love when I saw this in the bottle, and I know you will too! You best believe I’ll be wearing this on my nails this Christmas!
