I love a lot of brands– skincare and makeup wise. But, a lot of brands are just brands. A supplier of goods. Complex Beauty caught my attention because of their mission and their message. They want women to look good so they feel great and spread that positivity onto others. We all know that people who don’t feel good about themselves tend to poison others around them with their toxic comments and actions. I mean, have you looked at the comments section of videos on YouTube and Instagram? It’s enough to make you lose faith in everyone around you.

This is the first brand I know of that wants to spread positivity because it’s something that is lacking in many people’s lives. I get it and I totally want to support a brand like that. That’s why I had to say yes when they reached out to me about their mission and their products. Side note: I get so many PR emails that are just bleh and boring. Their email was a nice breath of fresh air in my inbox.

So, if you haven’t heard of Complex Beauty yet, I’m sure you will in the future!

Rose Glow glycolic mask

I think I’ve made it pretty clear that I’m all about the glow (see here, here, and here). I’m also all about any and all things rose scented so this was a mask made in heaven for me. It contains rose water so it soothes, hydrates, refreshes, and helps even out the skin tone while glycolic acid exfoliates, reduces scars, and makes your skin look shiny and new. I find this to be really unique because of the gel like consistency. A lot of masks I have tried are mud based, but this one a nice change, and it smells absolutely a m a z i n g. Try this one out if you want to give your skin an instant, hydrated glow.

Ocean Potion mineral mask

You know those pesky little pimples that haven’t quite reached the surface, but you know darn well they’re about to make an explosive appearance– and they do– right when you have to, say, go for an important job interview? Well, in times like those, I like to apply this mask either all over or as a spot treatment. It contains MSM, a naturally occurring form of organic sulfur that is great for acne and smoothing; kelp, reduces skin irritations; Irish moss, heals different skin conditions, and an ocean mineral complex that has a unique blend of 92 ocean minerals that are necessary for proper cell function. This mask has your typical mud mask consistency, but it’s not drying on the skin at all. It really soothes and calms down any skin irritations while reducing blemishes.

Thirst Quencher hydra mask

About a week ago I had a disgusting patch of dry flaky skin right below my lip. Honestly, it was so disgusting that my sister called me Moldevort. You know, like Voldemort. I applied a cabinet full of lotions and potions, trying to heal the dry skin that was literally flaking off of my face. Nothing worked. Absolutely nothing. Until I tried this hydrating mask. I applied a generous amount all over the patchy dry skin and left it on for a good 3 hours. It has a jiggly jello consistency and dries down clear so it felt comfortable. Afterwards, my skin was less dry, but there was still some flakiness so the next day I glooped it on again and left it on for several hours. Guess what? The dry flakiness was gone. g o n e. I can’t even tell you how many moisturizers I used to no avail. Try this if you’re trying to get rid of dry patches. I mean it. It contains ingredients like aloe, botanical hyaluronic acid, amino acids, organic horsetail and organic wild geranium just to name a few. Fortunately, my dry skin is gone. Unfortunately, the nickname Moldevort has stuck.

The Godmother enzyme mask

Thanksgiving is almost here, and if, like me, you cannot wait then slap this on your face because it literally smells (and feels) like pumpkin pie filling in a jar. If you’re not a fan of pumpkin scents then definitely steer clear of this mask. But, if you enjoy the smell and texture then give it a go because it really leaves your skin looking bright and fresh. Pumpkin is a rich source of essential vitamins. It moisturizes, remedies damage caused by free radicals, promotes new cell promotion, exfoliates, and reduces the appearance of blemishes, scars and dark spots. Along with pumpkin it has glycolic acid (so this does burn a bit), organic neem oil, Vitamin E, organic bilberry, and Vitamin C. Fairy skin godmother?.. check.

Smooth Operator antioxidant mask

Now this one certainly hit the mother load when it comes to ingredients. If you’re all about keeping your skin looking youthful then this one is for you. It contains a ton of antioxidants that help fight damage caused by free radicals. It has has organic blueberry, organic cranberry, hibiscus petals, aloe, lactic acid, glycolic acid, wildcrafted green tea, seabuckthorn oil, phospholipids, and phytic acid just to name a few (otherwise we’d be here all day). This one also has the consistency of a regular mud mask, but it’s not drying and doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight.

Baby Face purity mask

I absolutely love activated charcoal because it pulls dirt and toxins out of the skin so it’s ideal if you suffer from blemishes. This charcoal mask is different than any that I’ve tried before because it has a creamy consistency so not only does it clear the skin, but it leaves it very moisturized and smooth. With ingredients like botanical hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, Vitamin E, niacinamide, and more, this one is one of my favorites!

There is something for everyone in their range whether you’re suffering from acne, dry skin, dullness, texture, and more. I was extremely impressed with how many good-for-your-skin ingredients their products have. I just talked about a few key ingredients in each one, but trust me, their masks are loaded with organic and natural ingredients. Plus, they’re cruelty free and their face masks are vegan!

You can sign up here to be notified when they launch in a few weeks and follow them on Instagram to see some positive, empowering posts throughout the day. They’re launching a facial mist and lip mask along with these masks. Totally picking up both of those.

Have you heard of them? Which mask would you enjoy? Let me know in the comments below!
