7 Beauty Bits to Try for Spring

Spring is basically here, and I’m excited because it’s a chance to switch up your makeup for the new season, and who doesn’t like having a reason to go makeup shopping? ;)

So now that we’re heading into a new season, here are 7 beauty bits to try for spring.

1. Belif True Cream Aqua Bomb

This moisturizer has quickly become my favorite. I’ve been experiencing dry skin lately and this, plus the Valentia Ultra Plumping Hydration mask and Tula Illuminating Glow Serum have really been helping my skin. The Belif Aqua Bomb has a gel cream formula that will be perfect during the spring when the weather warms up. It’s not greasy, sticky or heavy on the skin. Instead, it’s hydrating, refreshing, and leaves your skin looking and feeling so smooth.

2. The Aromatica Damask Rose Soothing Gel

Gel moisturizers are kind of my new favorite way of moisturizing because they’re so light on the skin and they’re great for anyone with sensitive or blemish prone skin. This Damask Rose soothing gel moisturizer is 100% natural and organic, and made with 95% rosewater so it’s very soothing, calming, and hydrating. The consistency is like a gel, but once you rub it into your skin it feels like you’re just rubbing on water. It’s very different from anything I’ve used, but it still gets the job done! I really like this, and you can also use it on your face.

3. Algenist Blue Color Correcting Drops

Color correcting is the hot new trend at the moment, which is why literally every brand at Sephora has recently launched their version of a color correcting product. I own quite a few color correctors because I like to use them every once in a while, but in the years I’ve been trying color correctors, I’ve never come across a blue one. Blue correctors are used to neutralize sallow skin, and while I don’t have sallow skin, I find that it does brighten up the skin more.

4. Burberry Fresh Glow Fluid Base

Luminosity and dewiness is another trend at the moment. It seems everyone is moving toward a luminous look, and I’m all for it. For years I was a matte girl– matte foundation, eyeshadow, and lips. But, I’m all about dewy skin now, which is why I’ve been loving my deluxe sample size of the Burberry Fresh Glow Fluid Base. You can apply this as a base or mix it in with your foundation for a nice dewy effect. I will definitely be purchasing a full size of this.

5. Sephora Luminizing Drops

C0ntinuing with the luminous trend here… another luminizing product to try this spring are the new Sephora luminizing drops. I have the shade Ultralight, which is golden toned. You can apply these as a liquid highlight or mix a few drops in with your foundation for a super glowy look.

6. Hourglass Strobe Lighting Powders

If you’re more of a subtle glow kind of girl, or just want something for a more natural look, the Hourglass Strobe Lighting Powders will be your new bestie. These powders give you such a beautiful glow without being too light like the Ambient Lighting Powders, but not so intense that it’s very obvious you’re wearing makeup. You can apply them wet or dry depending on how you like it, and let me tell you, I’m obsessed with these powders– perfect for a subtle glowy spring makeup look.

7. Urban Decay Revolution lip gloss in Liar

Last is a gloss because remember, I’m a gloss girl now. It still shocks me. But, because I’m into lip glosses, I’ve been purchasing some to try out and so far I’ve loved all of the ones I’ve picked up, However, Urban Decay Liar has become a staple of mine, and Liar is the prettiest pinky nude gloss that isn’t sticky on the lips, is pigmented, but still glossy. This is the perfect springy nude pink lip. I hope they release more neutral shades in this collection!
