Summer is almost over (crazy!) and fall will soon bestow us with crunchy orange leaves, pumpkin lattes (gimme all the things pumpkin), and #sweaterweather (unless you’re like me, and it’s #leatherweather). Come fall, I know I’m going to be dusting off my favorite vampy lip shades and trading in my nude and peach lip colors for them. So, in today’s beauty chat I want to know what’s your favorite fall lipstick? Or, if you’re a lipstick junkie like me, what are your favorite lipsticks?

You know I’m a MAC lipstick junkie, which means no favorites list of mine would be complete without mentioning a couple. MAC Fashion Revival, which to my dismay was limited edition, is one of my all time favorites. It’s a beautiful deep raspberry shade that has a matte finish, but it’s not too drying. Do not fret, however, because I have some Fashion Revival dupes already ready for you. They’re not exact dupes, but they’re very similar and once you apply them on the lips you can’t tell!
MAC Sin is not only my favorite, but it’s a cult favorite that has a strong following– and it’s for good reason! It’s a deep burgundy wine shade with a matte finish that literally looks gorgeous on every skin tone! I don’t even know what I did every fall before this lipstick came into my life.

Going along with the matte lip look, which I love for fall, NARS Train Bleu and Damned Velvet Matte Lip Pencils are also among my favorites. I’ve done a full review on the NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencils, but to sum it up: Train Bleu is a deep eggplant shade, and Damned is a deep raspberry magenta shade. Both have matte finishes, but they’re not overly drying. Plus, they come in a chubby pencil form, which is perfect for easy application.
Last is Tom Ford’s Black Dahlia, which is definitely a luxury lipstick. It’s a deep berry/burgundy shade that has a creamy matte finish. It glides on beautifully and doesn’t drag at all. It doesn’t last as long as the shades above, but that’s because it has a creamier finish so that’s expected. It does leave a beautiful stain once it fades though. I’ve also done a full review on the Tom Ford Matte lipsticks in Black Dahlia and First Time.
p.s. This doesn’t include my favorite liquid lipsticks because you know I’m obsessed and that would be one very very long post.
