I think it is safe to say that during the summer everyone wants to look like a glowing goddess, but who wants to spend so much time applying their makeup when they could be outside lounging by the pool and drinking margaritas? No I one I know, at least! Beauty For Real is a makeup brand that caters to women who want/need essential makeup products that are formulated without parabens and include ingredients like antioxidants, essential oils, and vitamins that will not only look good on their skin, but are great for it. Their product packaging is ideal for anyone looking for pigmented products that are easy to apply on the go, which comes in handy especially for me when I need to get ready in a rush for my morning classes.

The Beauty For Real Cheek Tint & Luminizer* is a versatile product that contains a highlighter and a cheek tint. There are two shades to choose from: Get Lit/ In The Pink and Goldrush/Afterglow. I have the Get Lit/ In The Pink duo. The highlighter, Get Lit, is a pearl shade that adds a luminous glow to your skin– you can even use it on the eyes as an eyeshadow! In The Pink is a rosy pink shade that adds just the right amount of rosiness and freshness to your look.
Both products come in a cream form so you can apply them with a synthetic brush or with your fingertips. Personally, I like to apply it with my fingers and then blend it out with a brush. The pigmentation is really great on both of these, and you can easily build up the color if you want a more intense highlight or cheek tint. Sometimes cream products can be a bit waxy or stiff, but both the highlighter and the blush were very creamy and easy to blend out.

The Beauty For Real True Color Lip Cream* is like a liquid lipstick, but it doesn’t dry down matte. Instead, it stays creamy on the lips so if you’re one who hates matte lips this is a great option because it is still very pigmented and creamy so your lips stay hydrated (it contains both castor seed oil and olive oil, among other ingredients, so you know it will be hydrating!). I have the shade Always There and it actually lasted very long on my lips, which is surprising because cream lip products tend to wear off very quickly on me. This lasted about 5-6 hours before beginning to fade. However, it didn’t fade completely so you still had some color left on your lips. The color is a pinky slightly bright berry shade that’s really pretty for everyday, which is why I now keep this in my purse.

The packaging is very similar to the Gerard Cosmetics lip glosses because it has a mirror and light, but I have to say the quality is a lot better. The light on this actually works and you can turn it on or off by pressing the button on top of the cap. The packaging itself is more sturdy, and the product glides on easily, is pigmented, and not sticky, yet lasts a long time.

The Verdict | I honestly do love these products, and out of the two I have to say the Cheek Tint and Luminizer is my favorite. It’s a “no muss, no fuss” type of product that is great for when you’re on the go and still want that glow. It’s also great for layering when you want even more glow. I like to pat this on to my cheek bones then grab a powder highlighter and dust it on top. This will make your highlighter last a lot longer as well. I like to keep the lip cream in my bag because it’s a great everyday color and because it has a light with a mirror, you can easily apply this wherever you are.
