By the time you read this, I’ll be on my way to Austin for ACL (Austin City Limits) — a music festival. This is my first music festival and I’m really excited! I have tickets for Sunday, and the main headliners for that day are The Weeknd– my favorite for 5 years now– and Florence + The Machine. Unfortunately, I’ll be missing Alina Baraz and Drake *crying* because they’re not playing on Sunday.
Anyway, I’m super excited and can’t narrow down the makeup I’m going to take, but I know two products I will be taking for sure: Beauty For Real TotalGlo*, which is a moisturizer and bronzer in one for your body, and the D-Fine Perfect Lip Pencil in Nude*, which is a more nude/mauve shade on me.
It may be October, but in Dallas it still feels like summer, and since I’ll be outside all day I want my skin to look bronze and sun-kissed. TotalGlo acts as a moisturizer, bronzer, and highlighter for the skin so your body looks smooth and supple, tan, and glowy– who doesn’t want that? I really like this product because it isn’t greasy or heavy. It blends beautifully into the skin and doesn’t get all over your clothes, which is key! A lot of body bronzers are really orange, but this is almost like a bronze gold color so you won’t end up looking super orange.
The D-Fine Perfect Lip Pencil comes in a retractable tube so you don’t have to worry about needing a pencil sharpener, which is especially nice when traveling. I know I always forget to pack a pencil sharpener so this will prevent me from having to worry about one more thing to pack. The shade is also a very beautiful nude/mauve shade, and it’s supposed to work with all lip gloss colors and skin tones.
It glides on very nicely, is pigmented and the formula is very creamy. I hate lip liners that are dry and tug at your lips, but this doesn’t do that at all. It’s also very long lasting on the lips so if you’re having a hard time finding a lip liner that really lasts on the lips and doesn’t fade through out the day, this is a good option!
Now I just have to figure out what other makeup I’m going to take!
