Back in the day I was a strictly powder girl when it came to anything regarding makeup. I was all about the matte look and definitely spent quite a bit of time applying all things powder to my face. You could say I was caked, but not to the nines. I think the matte look was quite in back then, and I snubbed anything that contained the words “shine, luminous, glow.” Now, GIMME THE GLOW. I’m all about the sheer, glowy, vibrant, healthy look.

The Burberry Lip & Cheek Bloom in Peony
I’ll admit it, I picked this little guy up because look at that packaging. *h e a r t e y e s* But, it’s what’s on the inside that counts, and I fell in love at first swatch. The formula of this is creamy, but it’s not thick. It has some slip to it so it applies nicely and dries to a powder finish so I do think this would be great for all skin types.
It is pigmented, but it sheers out once blended so if you’ve got a heavy hand like me, it won’t look like you had your makeup done in the 80s. I have been there. Although the longevity didn’t blow me away– it lasted about 5-6 hours on its own before fading on me– I do really love wearing this on the cheeks, especially when my skin needs a pick me up (so always).
I drink a lot of water throughout the day so this only lasted a couple hours on my lips, but I’m not mad at it. It has a silky formula and adds a nice matte wash of color to the lips that looks very natural. The formula does feel a bit slippy on the lips, but I quite like that because it doesn’t dry out your lips or feel cakey. All in all, this gets two thumbs up from me!
