Kopari beauty Coconut Rose Toner and Coconut Lip Love review

Coconut Oil Based Beauty | 2 From Kopari Beauty

Growing up, I was constantly told to use coconut oil.

“Put it on your skin. It’ll help your scarring”

“Put it in your hair. It’ll make your hair thicker.”

“It’s such a good moisturizer.” my mother would screech at me whenever she saw the dry patches on my arms and hands from lack of moisturizing. But, because #teenagerebellion, I didn’t listen.

Well, guess what? Mother knows best. At least in this case. Coconut oil is actually a really good beautifying ingredient to use.

Coconut Oil Based Beauty | 2 From Kopari Beauty

I’m still not someone who likes to use pure coconut oil on my face as a moisturizer because it can feel a bit heavy and greasy. And it sometimes causes me to break out. Not in a my-skin-is-purging way, but a what-have-I-done breakout freakout way. But, I’m happy to report that the Kopari Coconut Rose Tonerdoesn’t make my skin break out. And it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy either. It’s supposed to tighten pores, keep redness at bay, and refresh and soothe the skin. I thankfully don’t suffer from large pores so I can’t attest to that claim. But, I can say that I love it as a refresher, light hydrator, and it does soothe my skin. I actually spritzed this on my skin after I threaded my stache (painful!!) to see if it would burn or irritate my skin (the things you do for product testing, eh?). And, it didn’t sting at all! It actually helped calm and soothe the freshly threaded stache pain I was experiencing, and reduced the redness. I know this will be one toner I will be purchasing once I run out.

If you read my post talking all about my favorite non-petroleum jelly based lip balms, then you know I despise that ingredient. The Kopari Coconut Lip Love* is technically a coconut lip gloss, but luckily it doesn’t contain any petroleum jelly derivatives, which is why it has been a new favorite of mine. I love this one more during the day when I want something moisturizing and glossy, but not sticky and thick. It leaves the lips looking glossy all while hydrating them because of the coconut oil, Vitamin E, and shea butter. This one now lives in my work bag so I highly recommend you try this out if you’re on the lookout for something glossy and moisturizing at the same time.
