Constantly On My Face

Lately, I haven’t been super into a lot of makeup. But, I have been super into a strong, intense, see-me-from-space highlight. Three that I’m constantly reaching for and relying on lately are ones that I like to layer on top of each other. The glow is that strong. First, I’ll apply a lil bit of Glossier Moonstone, which is now permanent, guys (20% off link here). I am over the moon(stone) about this. You have no idea. Then, I like to dab on a little bit of the Milk Holographic Stickwhich gives the skin a wet-ish lilac sheen, and then top it off with Kitty Kat and Forever Young from the ABH Nicole Glow KitThe glow is real. And it’s real good.

I don’t know if you know this about me, but I’m not really into eyeshadow. I have a good enough amount, and I do wear them on special occasions, but I really don’t wear them that much. It’s just not my thing. That’s why I don’t own a ton of eyeshadow palettes. But, there are a few eyeshadows I reach for when I want super sparkly eyes with minimal blending. And literally no other shades are required. The two I always turn back to are the MAC Pressed Pigments in Deeply Dashing and Day Gleam. Deeply Dashing is my go to when I want a deeper, more brown color, and Day Gleam is perfect when you want a light wash of champagne, and  a ton of sparkle. I use my fingers, swipe this on, and it looks blended all by itself. These are winners in my book. (I was researching after writing this post, and I think the pressed pigments are discontinued?? So sad because I love them).

The Armani Maestro Liquid Summer Bronzer has been my quick and easy bronze fix. It is super luxe, but it’s also super beautiful and effortless. A little goes a long way since it’s so pigmented so I only take a couple drops on the back of my hand, swish a brush into a little bit of the product, blending it slightly on the back of my hand, then apply it basically all over the face. It’s really easy to go overboard with this guy since it’s so pigmented, but on the days I go a little too (Jon) HAMM, I just use my foundation brush/ beauty blender to diffuse the product and blend it out better.

When I want to add a little flush of color to the cheeks, I’ve been turning to the Glossier Cloud Paints. I have the shades Haze and Dusk, and they’re both really pretty, but I’ve been reaching for Haze more since it makes you and your skin look fresh and awake (Cloud Paint swatches here). It blends effortlessly, and is the perfect everyday staple. Another cream blush I’ve been turning to is one that I used a lot when I first picked it up, but then started to ignore it and I don’t know why; The Burberry Lip and Cheek Bloom in Peony. I love using this both on the lips and the cheeks, especially when I’m in a hurry in the mornings. A tiny bit goes a long way so be careful when applying it because I did have a clown-cheeks moment one morning recently. Oops.

My go to lip color at the moment has been NARS Cruella. On no makeup days, these are the lip essentials I’ve been reaching for. But, on the days I do don a little bit of makeup, I have been loving this on the lips. I apply it really lightly then pat the color in with my finger to diffuse it. It gives your lips that matte, I-just-made-out soft stain. Living for it.
