For me, highlighting tends to be the most difficult part of putting makeup on. Not because highlighting the skin is hard in terms of technique, but because I have so many shades that it’s hard to choose just 1 (or 2 or 3). In reality I just want to douse myself with all of them, but obviously I can’t. Well, I could– hello full face highlighter challenge!

7 Hyped Up Highlighters Worth the Hype
BECCA Champagne Pop and Opal Pressed. If you haven’t heard of these highlighters then you must be living under a rock because they are probably the most talked about and hyped up. Champagne Pop is a peachy toned white gold highlight and Opal is a golden pearl. Both shades are absolutely amazing and definitely worth the hype because a little goes a long way and you get so much product.
MUFE Pro Sculpting Duo #2. When I heard this shade was a dupe for the LE and highly lusted after MAC Whisper of Gilt and Estée Lauder Heatwave, I had to have this. It’s such a gorgeous warm gold that is perfect for medium to deep skin. The consistency is a gel powder so it’s untraceable on the skin, which may sound too good to be true, but it’s true and just too good to pass up!
Anastasia Beverly Hills So Hollywood. When these highlighters first launched, it was all I saw on Instagram, beauty blogs, and YouTube. So, of course I finally gave in ;). This is a beautiful yellowy golden shade that looks almost metallic and frosty on the skin. The texture of this is very velvety so it blends seamlessly on to the skin
MAC Soft & Gentle. Talk about an OG highlighter.. This beige-y peach highlighter gives a shockingly soft & gentle glow to the skin, and it just makes the skin glisten so beautifully. There’s a reason why it’s still so popular today!
Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight. I have the cream version, but boy is it beautiful. The formula is so smooth and it blends like a dream making your skin look as though it naturally glows like that– girl, I wish. This is worth the hype for anyone who likes a more natural highlight. If you want something very metallic and intense then this won’t be for you.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders. Now these powders aren’t your typical “highlighters” since they’re not extremely pigmented or obvious. Instead, these give the skin a subtle lit from within glow and makes the skin look so flawless. Definitely worth the hefty price tag!
