I can’t stop talking about or wearing the MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipsticks so of course they made my January 2016 faves. I picked up 4 shades, but Tailored To Tease [first impression here], Oh Lady and Dance With Me are the ones I’ve been wearing the most. The formula isn’t super duper drying (but it is a retro matte soo you have been warned if you’re not used to matte lips), lasts well and is super pigmented–what more could I ask for?
Another liquid lipstick I’ve been loving is Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Lilac. I was a bit so-so on whether or not I should pick this up, but I’m glad I did because I’m obsessed. It’s a very pretty pinky lilac shade, and now I’m sad that I didn’t pick up Catnip when I had the chance. Honestly, when are they going to restock their liquid lipsticks?? I have quite a few I want to pick up…
I’ve been more into color correcting at the moment and my go to product for under the eyes and around my mouth has been the MAC Conceal and Correct Duo in Burnt Coral and Rich Yellow. Both shades are really opaque and you only need a little bit to cover up those dark circles.
I went snooping through my mother’s makeup stash this month and stole– ok she let me have it– a blush from Chanel she still hadn’t gotten around to using. Desert is a beautiful plummy warm blush that works perfectly for the winter, and I’ve been guided into the light because oh my.. I need more Chanel blushes.
The NARS Steven Klein blush duo in Vengeful was an impulse purchase–shocking–but one I’m extremely glad about– no buyers remorse here! The blush is super pigmented so you do have to be careful, but the light gold highlight is my favorite. The great thing about these blushes is that you can apply them wet or dry so they’re also very versatile.
I’ve been using the Juicy Beauty Anti-Wrinkle Solutions Kit [review here] this whole past month, and my favorite product has been the moisturizer. It smells so fresh and citrusy, which is a nice change during winter, and makes my skin mmm mmm smooth.
