Laura Geller highlighters have been gaining a lot of popularity lately, and I’m a highlighter junkie so you knew I’d be all over that. I picked up the shade Ballerina, which is a light peachy rose gold shade. I heard this shade was very similar to the Becca Rose Gold highlighter, which I already had (#highlighterjunkie anyone?), so I thought I would compare the two and really see if they’re dupes for one another.

On my skin, Becca Rose Gold is much deeper in tone than Laura Geller’s Ballerina. I would say Rose Gold is much more gold, almost copper, while Ballerina is a lot lighter and seems to be more of a rose toned champagne peach.
Both highlighters are very smooth and silky powders. Both are very intense and pigmented with just one swipe. I feel as though Rose Gold is just a tad smoother, but that may just be because Ballerina has a swirled texture to it.

The Overview |
They’re definitely not dupes on my skin. I can’t pick just one because both are great highlighters. I think Ballerina would be more universally flattering since it’s lighter so it will flatter fair to deep skin tones. Rose Gold is deeper so it can be used as a highlighter/blush for lighter skin tones and as a highlighter/blush topper for deeper skin tones. Personally, I love both, and if you’re a highlighter junkie then you’ll probably want both as well :P.
Have you tried either of these highlighters? Which one do you prefer? Let me know in the comments below!
