A fairly recent addition to the Marc Jacobs beauty line has been the Glistening Glow Stick Illuminator, and my glow-loving self definitely couldn’t pass it up.

Marc Jacobs Glistening Glow Stick Illuminator Review
The Good |
- Creamy
- Blendable
- Easy to apply
- Gives a “wet” glow
- Universal shade
- Travel friendly
The Bad |
- May not be in everyone’s price range ($42)
- No variety of shades
This highlighter is not only packaged beautifully, but it gives the skin such a gorgeous glow. You can easily blend this out so it’s more subtle or you can build it up to make it look more intense and almost “wet.” It doesn’t feel wet, sticky or greasy on the skin so it should be fine even if you have oily skin.
This shade claims to be universal because it contains an equal balance of gold and silver pigments so it will flatter all skin tones, and I agree that it would flatter everyone. It just comes down to whether or not you personally like this type of shade.
The packaging is beautiful and comes in a stick form so it’s easy to use on the go and small enough to travel with. The oval shape allows you to easily swipe this on the top of your cheek bones and then blend, but I personally like to use either a brush, beauty blender or my fingers to apply it. This way you can build up the intensity depending on your preference.

The Verdict |
This is a very beautiful highlighter and definitely gives the skin a radiant glow. The only downside is that there is only one shade. Although it’s a universal shade, it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, and they don’t have any others to choose from. I would love to see more shades in the range, and would definitely pick up some more!
