MAC may have been the brand that really got me interested in makeup, but NARS was the brand that made me fall in love with high end makeup, and I’ve never looked back. However, don’t get me wrong, I definitely have my favorite drugstore makeup products.
NARS has some great products in their line so narrowing it down to five products was quite a challenge, but I did it!
My favorite NARS eyeshadow is Galapagos: a rich dark brown shadow with gold sparkles. I absolutely love this shade because it’s dark and smokey, but the sparkles glam it up a bit. This looks great all over the lids and even smoked out on the bottom lash with lots of mascara.
NARS is infamously known for their Orgasm blush. It’s so popular that even Drake references it in a song– “Orgasm blush, lipstick, and concealer.” However, as much as I do like Orgasm, my favorite blush is actually called Oasis. It’s a dusty rose/ mauve shade with a golden shimmer running through it, which adds warmth and radiance to the skin. If that’s not enough radiance, my favorite highlighter is Albatross. It looks like a plain and boring white highlighter in the pan, but when you swatch it, it is this beautiful gold highlighter that adds a subtle, yet noticeable (if that makes sense) glow to the skin.
My go to concealer has been the NARS Creamy Concealer in Custard. Since it comes in a tube form with a doe foot applicator, it makes applying concealer very easy, especially on those mornings you don’t have much time to get ready, but really need to conceal those bags.
As for lips, I couldn’t pick just one lip color, but my favorite lip product that I’ve tried from them are the Velvet Matte Lip Pencils. I love the colors Bahama, a brown and rose toned nude, and Damned, a deep raspberry pink shade.
