It seems like the mountain has come to me this time and it has taken up residence on my chin.

A Skincare Haul
I go through periods of infatuation. Sometimes I am in love with illuminating primers, other times I’m in love with highlighters. Now, it seems as though my newest obsession is skincare. Everyone wants clear skin– right? In hopes of resolving some skin issues, I recently picked up a few skincare goodies. Some are old favorites, and some will hopefully become holy grails.
Complex Beauty*
They sent me their discovery kit that features 6 face masks. I got the Baby Face purity mask, a creamy charcoal activated mask that refines, hydrates, softens, and clarifies. The Rose Glow mask is a glycolic mask that contains rose water and revitalizes, exfoliates, brightens and firms. Their Ocean Potion mineral mask regenerates, balances, and heals since it contains ingredients like kelp and irish moss. The Thirst Quencher hydra mask hydrates, plumps, and smoothes. The Smooth Operator antioxidant mask detoxes, repairs, and nourishes since it contains a blend of several antioxidants. And, The Godmother enzyme mask contains pumpkin, glycolic acid, and other beneficial ingredients to replenish, exfoliate, nourish and brighten the skin. The great thing about this brand is that they’re organic, natural, cruelty free and their masks are vegan! They launch in November so if you want more information on their products, check out their Instagram page!
Youth To The People
I’ve seen this brand going around Instagram for a while now, and when I saw that their products were now available on Sephora, I had to order something. I decided on their Kale, Spinach, and Green Tea Age Prevention Cleanser. It’s an antioxidant rich gel cleanser that is supposed to not only remove dirt and toxins from the skin, but it’s supposed to protect against free radical damage. I love gel cleansers because they don’t strip the skin and feel refreshing so I hope this one works for my skin!
Boscia
I tried a deluxe sample of this Purifying Cleansing Gel and had to repurchase this the second I ran out. This cleanser is one of my favorites because it’s very gentle, feels soothing, and gets all of my makeup off without stripping the skin. I prefer gel cleansers since they don’t irritate my skin.
The Estee Edit
I’ve tried several makeup products from The Estee Edit, but never anything from the skincare line. I picked up this 100 point perk Pink Peony Overnight Water Pack from Sephora because I’ve heard so many great things about overnight sleeping masks that I wanted to give this a try. It contains peony root extract, which is an antioxidant, and goji berry, blueberry, cranberry, and pomegranate, which are supposed to bring a glow to the skin. It also contains hyaluronic acid, which attracts and draws moisture into the skin.
Sephora
I picked up two more sleeping masks from the Sephora brand. Pearl is supposed to even out the skin tone, and Rose is supposed to plump, hydrate and leave the skin more radiant and luminous. These pods are really small so they’re good for probably one or two uses so they’d be great for traveling!
Kaplan MD*
Now that we’re heading into fall/winter, it’s even more important to keep the lips moisturized, which is why I’m excited to try out the Perfect Pout Lip Mask + Lip Balm Duo. You’re supposed to apply the lip mask for 3-5 minutes and then wipe off and apply the lip balm that also contains an SPF of 20. I have tried the lip balm and really like it. It’s not too thick, spreads easily, has a pepperminty feel and really moisturizes the lips nicely.
Lush
I forgot to include it in the picture (whoops), but I do talk about their Tea Tree Water in the video. I’ve repurchased this toner water about 5-7 times now. It contains tea tree so it’s great for keeping blemishes at bay, and really feels soothing and refreshing on the skin. A definite must have in my collection!
