Tarte Poppy Picnic Eye and Cheek Palette Review

Tarte recently launched their new summer collection, and when I saw their Poppy Picnic Eye and Cheek Palette, I had to snag it up! I’m a sucker for palettes, especially Tarte palettes after loving their Tres Chic Park Ave Princess Contour palette and Rainforest After Dark palette. So keep on reading for my Tarte Poppy Picnic Eye and Cheek Palette Review!

The palette comes with 6 limited edition matte eyeshadow shades: Summer Breeze (cream), Sweet Tea (tan), Ice Cream Cone (deep chocolate brown), Barefoot In The Grass (nude), Peach Poppy (peach), and Picnic Basket (deep brown). The blush, Glisten, is a full sized shimmery peachy pink with golden flecks running through it. The blush is pigmented, yet sheer and buildable so you can build it up to the opacity you prefer. I think it is a great spring/ summer blush that adds a beautiful flush to the cheeks.

As much as I love the Rainforest After Dark palette, the quality of the Poppy Picnic Eye and Cheek palette is a lot better in my opinion. The eyeshadows and blush are more pigmented, buttery, aren’t chalky and blend beautifully. All of the eyeshadows in this palette are matte, which I like for everyday looks. I really wanted the Tartlette Matte Eyeshadow Palette, but these neutral shades are more my cup of tea plus it comes with a blush, which makes it a great travel palette.

The Good | Pigmented, buildable, blends nicely, soft, great for traveling, and nice neutral shades.

The Bad | Nothing!

The Verdict | If you’re looking for a nice neutral matte eyeshadow palette I would definitely check this out, and do it soon because it is limited edition so you don’t want to miss out!
