Once upon a time I was all about the full coverage foundation, but lately I have been loving lighter foundations. Basically, the your skin but better foundations that look natural, but even out your skin tone and diminish the appearance of blemishes a bit.

Diorskin Nude Air Serum | This has quickly become my favorite foundation. It comes with a dropper instead of a pump, which I personally like better with this foundation because of the consistency. The formula is very liquidy and runny, which makes it very light on the skin. It’s very unique because as you blend it out it begins to feel and look like a powder. The coverage is about light-medium, but slightly buildable. One application will give you some coverage, and it will even out your skin tone, but if you have blemishes or scarring they will still be slightly visible. I think this foundation would be best for combo skin because it does contain oil, but it can cling to dry patches a bit; nothing major, but if you look closely it is slightly visible. If you have combo skin and you’re in the market for something sheer to medium that still leaves your skin looking radiant and even, I would try this one out!
MAC Face and Body | The Face and Body foundation seems to have a little cult following in the beauty world. This foundation is runny as well (sensing the theme here?), but very sheer, and water based so it won’t break you out. This is more sheer than the Dior Nude Air Serum foundation, and you can’t build it up as much as that one either. I like to use this when I want to put on some makeup to look put together, but I’m not looking for much coverage. This leaves your skin very radiant, almost slightly wet at first, but then it dries down and just looks glowy on the skin– very naturally dewy.
Estée Lauder Invisible Fluid | Another favorite of mine is this one from Estée Lauder. The consistency of this one is different than the other two. The one from Dior blends out like a powder and feels like powder, the MAC Face and Body goes on watery and feels a bit wet until it dries, but this one is more creamy. The finish is still natural and skin-like, and it doesn’t feel heavy when you apply it. If you look closely, this foundation does have some sparkle in it, but it just leaves your skin looking radiant so it’s not overly noticeable and you’re not a sparkly mess.
All three of them are pretty long wearing on my skin, but applying primer is definitely going to make them last longer. The MAC Face and Body wears off faster than the other two, but that one is also the most sheer out of the three.
If you’re someone who wants a completely flawless base or needs more coverage then I don’t recommend these foundations because you’ll want something thicker. My favorite full coverage foundation would have to be the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation because it makes your skin look flawless, but it isn’t heavy on the skin.
