It’s safe to say that I’m now a skincare junkie. Although I’m still a makeup junkie, I’ve really become more interested in products that will help make my skin look beautiful sans makeup. Finding the right skincare is definitely a journey, and that’s why I’m always on the hunt for new skincare products that will hopefully become my holy grails.
For the past few weeks I’ve been trying out some Tula skincare goodies, which I was lucky enough to receive from them. Tula, which was started by Dr. Roshini Raj, a gastroenterologist, aims to use probiotic technology, aka ingredients like yogurt and milk, to help balance and nourish the skin. The skin is our biggest organ, which is why ingredients that we generally intake through our diet are also great for our skin when applied topically.
All of their products contain a blend of:
- Probiotics (yogurt and milk extracts)
- Nutripeptides (hydrolyzed rice)
- Vitamins A, E, and C
- Antioxidants (Turmeric, White Tea and Blueberry Extract)
- Omega 3 and 6 Fatty Acids (Wild Flax Oil)
All of these ingredients combined create a “smoothie for your skin” which keeps it balanced, blemish free, and nourished. It is also supposed to make your skin more resistant to damage from stress, chemicals, air pollution, the sun, and other variables that age our skin.
Along with using probiotic technology, a great thing about this company is that their products are cruelty free, made in the USA, and free of:
- Parabens
- Mineral oil
- Petrolatum
- Phthalates
- Propylene Glycol
Purifying Face Cleanser* |

A lot of cleansers I’ve tried tend to dry out my skin or make it feel very tight afterwards, but I’m happy to say this cleanser doesn’t do that at all. Instead, my skin feels very soft, clean and nourished, which is an A+ in my book. I have noticed that it’s helped calm down skin irritations and has sped up the healing process of my blemishes.
Exfoliating Treatment Mask* |

This mask is both a chemical and physical exfoliant. It contains Lactic Acid, which gets rid of dirt and debris, and the Bentonite Clay and beads, which contains soybean oil, Vitamin E, and volcanic sand, gets rid of dead skin cells to reveal a hydrated, glowing complexion.
I have to say this mask leaves my skin feeling soft, hydrated and nourished. Most of my clay masks are a pain to wash off once they dry down, but this mask, which you only have to leave on for 5 minutes, washes off easily and doesn’t dry my skin out like others.

The Verdict |
Overall, I think this is a wonderful brand that you should definitely check out! I have combination skin and these products didn’t make my skin greasy nor did they dry it out. Because these has ingredients that are great for oily, blemish prone skin and leave the skin looking and feeling hydrated, I think they would work for all skin types.
I’m into DIY treatments for my skin that contain ingredients like turmeric, milk, yogurt, and more, but those get really messy so this skincare line is great because you get all the benefits of those ingredients without the mess!
They also have an Illuminating Face Serum, Hydrating Day & Night Cream, Revitalizing Eye Cream, and Advanced Neck Cream in their line, which all look wonderful and contain more beneficial ingredients. I would definitely suggest trying out their 4 piece Discovery Kit so you can test out most of their products!
