Bring on the alien glow.

Two Drugstore Highlighters That Are Out Of This World
I’m not an adventurous person. That’s probably why my (self proclaimed) nickname is Neutral Nida. But, sometimes, a girl needs to switch things up. Variety is the spice of life, you know? Enter two new-to-me drugstore highlighters that will give you a unique, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century-esque glow. And I’m spacing out over it. Major.
Since I knew the Moon Child Glow Kit from Anastasia Beverly Hills would just sit around in my collection looking pretty, but never get used, I decided to save the $40 and pick these two highlighters up instead. They may not be complete dupes, but they’re on that “moonchild” level, and they’re inexpensive.
NYX Twilight Tint is a pale white duochrome highlighter that has an icy periwinkle shift depending on the light. It gives the most gorgeous glow that is still wearable. For every day, I do have to use this with a light hand so it still looks a bit natural, and not too out there, but you can easily pack it on for more intensity. From the swatches I’ve seen of the ABH Glow Kit, it looks as though it could be a dupe of Blue Ice.
Makeup Revolution highlighters are some of my favorite drugstore highlighters. I’m happy to report that the shade Holographic Lights is no exception, and it’s a stunning metallic shade with goldish-green shimmer. It reminds me of ABH Lucky Clover because of the slight green tone to it.
Both of these are super inexpensive alternatives/ dupes to a couple shades in the Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit. I find these two to be very wearable, which is why I picked them up, and that’s also why I skipped on the palette. Some of the darker shades would just sit around never getting used (even though they’re so pretty) so why not pick up two alternatives? But seriously though… I still want Moonchild.
