This winter I decided that I wanted to change up the perfumes that I wear because I generally lean towards floral scents all year round. But, it’s time for something new this winter. During the Sephora 20% off VIB sale I decided it was the perfect time to purchase a fragrance set after I smelled this scent in stores. The scent I’m loving at the moment for the upcoming winter season is the Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black perfume. This scent is something completely different than what I am used to, and that is what really drew me in. Also, it has good reviews online so when I saw that Sephora was selling the oil and the perfume in a set (current available set), I decided it was the best time to pick it up.
In this set you receive a 1 oz bottle of the perfume, which retails for $55, and a .47 oz bottle of the pure perfume oil. The normal perfume oil comes in a .14 oz bottle, and that retails for $35. So buying the limited edition set, which is $65, is a great deal!
Packaging| The packaging of this product is extremely beautiful, yet simple and bold; it reminds me of a vintage cigarette case. The Nirvana Black perfume bottle is black with gold accents and textured. When you hold the bottle it doesn’t feel cheaply made, it actually feels like a good quality product so it looks and feels very luxurious. The perfume oil comes in a more simple glass bottle, but the top is a dropper that makes applying the oil extremely easy.
Scent| It is a blend of violet, sandalwood, and vanilla notes that mix together to make a warm, mysterious winter scent. It is definitely a more mature and bold scent, which is something I am not accustomed to since I generally wear perfumes from Juicy Couture (don’t judge me!) and Marc Jacobs.
If you’re looking to add a new perfume to your collection or to find a new scent for the winter, I would highly suggest checking out your local Sephora and sniffing out the Elizabeth and James Nirvana perfumes. I need to go back and check out Nirvana White again, and if I like it I may just have to pick it up!
